Gizmo’s Big Day: Madison & Manuel’s Wedding – As Told by Yours Truly
Hi, I’m Gizmo – proud ring bearer, snack scavenger, and professional good boy. Let me tell you the story of the most paws-itively perfect day: the wedding of my humans, Madison and Manuel.
My day started way earlier than usual. No cozy cuddles in bed with Mom and Dad—nope! Instead, I woke up in a cool, modern hotel room in downtown Buffalo called the Westin, all shiny floors and big windows. Very sniffable. Mom and her favorite humans were busy getting their fur styled and fluffed by this magical lady who rubbed everyone’s faces for a really long time. I’m not sure what that was about, but apparently, it’s called “makeup,” and it made Mom look even more beautiful (which I didn’t think was possible).
While they were fussing with hair and dresses, I stayed productive: taste-testing all the cucumber slices I could sneak (my favorite!), chewing on the mysterious shiny ribbons, and diving headfirst into tissue paper. Somebody had to clean up the room. You’re welcome.
Also, during all the hair and makeup stuff, there was this nice man with all these dangly toys hanging off of him. He kept giving me pets and pointing the toys at me every time I did something cute—which, let’s be honest, was all the time. What a nice man. I hope he got my good side.
Later, I got my own outfit—yes, a tuxedo. With a bow tie. I looked dashing. Dapper. Like the gentleman I am. After I got dressed, I went to check on Dad and his boys—and guess what? They all looked dapper too! There wasn’t a magical lady fluffing their hair or brushing their faces, though. Very strange.
Then came the big moment. The ceremony. It was a beautiful, sunny day, and I rolled in style—literally. I attended in my stroller, the one Grandma and Grandpa love to push me around in. And I had one very important job: I helped bring the most important thing—the ring! That’s right, I was the ring bearer. And I crushed it.
When Mom walked down the aisle, everyone stood up, but I swear I was the first one to tear up. She looked like a goddess. Dad? He was doing that human thing where his eyes get all watery but tries to act cool. I know the look—I invented it.
I think there was more to the day, but it’s exhausting being this cute. So I curled up for a nap. In my dreams, Mom and Dad danced together under twinkle lights, and everyone ate yummy kibbles and delicious cake. I think they even invented a whole new drink after me. People laughed and danced and gave me all the belly rubs. At least… I think that’s what happened?
Either way, it was the best day ever.
Congratulations, Mom and Dad! Thanks for letting me be your best boy on your best day.
Love,
Gizmo 🐾💍
