A Styled Shoot with Sabrina, Pranav & Shannon
As a candid wedding photographer, my work usually revolves around the beautiful chaos of a real wedding day. I thrive on movement—fleeting glances, unexpected laughs, spontaneous tears. I’m constantly adapting to the rhythm of each moment, rarely having the luxury to slow down and truly play with light, composition, and pacing. That’s why this styled shoot at Glenmere Mansion in upstate New York felt like such a creative treat.
Glenmere is one of those places that feels plucked from a dream—nestled in the rolling hills of the Hudson Valley, with grand architecture, manicured gardens, and an air of timeless romance. It was the perfect setting to pause and flex the creative muscles I don’t always get to stretch during the natural momentum of a wedding day.
We had the pleasure of working with an incredible real couple, Sabrina and Pranav, who brought their own quiet intimacy and connection to every frame. Despite less-than-ideal weather (classic springtime upstate unpredictability), they embraced the experience with so much grace and warmth. They danced through raindrops, leaned into each other, and made magic happen in every scene.
Joining them was Shannon, who modeled some of the most jaw-droppingly beautiful gowns I’ve ever photographed. We had the honor of featuring pieces by Monique Lhuillier and Ines Di Santo—designers whose work is synonymous with elegance and high fashion in the wedding world. Shannon and Sabrina wore each look like it was made just for them, bringing a sense of quiet confidence and movement that really brought the dresses to life.
This shoot wasn’t just about beautiful photos. It was a rare and welcome opportunity to reconnect with the art of photography—to slow down, observe, and create from a different place. And getting to do that with such a talented and gracious team made it all the more special.
