A Pearl at the Webb Wedding

The morning of Rebecca and Brooks’ wedding was the perfect blend of fun, hectic energy and heartfelt anticipation. Rebecca and her girls filled their Airbnb with laughter, makeup brushes, curling irons, and the kind of joyful chaos that only happens on wedding mornings. Tucked away downstairs, though, was a hidden gem: a spare bedroom that no one had touched. Dark, quiet, and moody, it became the perfect backdrop for Rebecca’s dress portraits. Sometimes the best photo spots come completely by accident.

Meanwhile, the guys spent their morning making sure everyone looked sharp. Ties were straightened, lapels brushed, and camaraderie was in full force. At one point they stepped outside for a stroll around the block, confidently halting traffic so they could take portraits right in the middle of the street. Taking up space as only a group of groomsmen can, they owned the moment.

Rebecca and Brooks exchanged vows at the breathtaking Our Lady of Victory National Shrine and Basilica, with the ever-delightful Father David guiding the ceremony. The combination of towering architecture and heartfelt words made for a truly unforgettable “I do.”

Afterward, we braved the winter chill for portraits, taking warming breaks in the limo between stops. The steps of the Albright Knox museum were dramatic as ever, and Hoyt Lake provided a peaceful, icy backdrop. Just when the guys thought they were simply lining up for portraits with Rebecca, she revealed a surprise she had carefully prepared: Smirnoff Ice hidden beneath her dress. They never saw it coming. The reaction was priceless, and Rebecca absolutely reveled in the moment.

The celebration continued at Pearl at the Webb, where the rich brownstone backdrop and warm lighting created a perfect downtown Buffalo vibe. One of the most emotional moments of the night came when Rebecca and her father shared their dance. Unknown to her, he had arranged to use a secretly recorded song she practiced on piano as a child. Even their stone-cold photographer may or may not have gotten a little misty-eyed. (I will never confirm this.)

From beautiful speeches to packed dance floors, the evening unfolded in the best possible way. Pearl at the Webb’s layout has this magical ability to keep everyone connected. No matter where you stood, you were still part of the celebration. Music, laughter, and dancing filled every corner, and no one could resist joining in.
